What to do if you cannot open your project file?

Last Revised: 2015-10-29 21:08:29
The common cause of not being able to open project files is due to the source files being deleted, renamed or moved. This can also occur when the files are stored in an external device that’s been disconnected.

If you were using an external device to store your source files, please reconnect the device to your computer.

Another option is to use the relocating feature to reopen the project file. When you cannot open the project file, a pop-up window will alert you for the missing files and help you look for it.

These are what the three options means:

Ignore All = the project file will be opened with the rest of the source files in addition to all the missing files.

Ignore = the project will open without the missing files.

Locate = Another Window will open for your to locate or replace the missing file.

Tip: To avoid this problem, you can also choose to archive your project file.
