Wondershare TransPod Lite for Mac allows you to transfer music, playlists, videos, Books, ringtones, photos from all models of iPad/iPhone/iPod to iTunes or Mac Finder without erasing the contents in your devices. You can also quickly backup all your files on iPad/iPhone/iPod with one click.

Installation
Double-click the installation file (.dmg) to start installing it on your Mac. After expanding the .dmg file, in the pop up window, please drag the application icon to your Applications folder as the arrow indicates or drag the application icon out of the window to the Desktop.

Connecting device to Mac
Launch the program, and then connect the device to the Mac. The categories on the device will be listed on the left pane of the main interface.



Tips
: All iPods, iPhones and iPads connected to your Mac will be listed on the Device list. You can switch among different devices. If you want to eject the device, click the Eject button. It ONLY ejects the current device.

In the main interface, the music on the device will be displayed as list view by default.

Preview: Wondershare TransPod Lite allows you to play music file (except music video) directly in the program.

Double click a music file to start playing it. You can control the playback on Play controller.
Note:
1、Changing the view mode (thumbnail view or list view) does not affect the playback of the current music file.
2、Only music files can be played directly in the program. If you switch to other categories, the playback will stop.

Search: To search a file, type text in the Search box.
Music files can be searched by all, Artist, Album, Composer, or Song;
Movies can be searched by Title;
TV shows can be searched by Show;
Podcasts/ iTunes U/ Books can be searched by all, Show, and Title;
Voice memo /Ringtones/ Playlists can be searched by Name;
Note: Photos can not be searched in Search box.

Views: Click the View mode switch button to change view mode. Wondershare TransPod Lite supports list view and thumbnail view. Drag the Zoom slider to change the size of the thumbnails.
Note: Thumbnail view is not available in Ringtones, Playlists and Books; and list view is not available in Photos.

Transferring files
Wondershare TransPod Lite supports transferring music, playlists, videos, Books, ringtones, photos from all models of iPad/iPhone/iPod to Mac Finder or iTunes without erasing the contents in your devices.

1. Transferring files from devices to local folder on Mac
To transfer files from device to a specified folder on the Mac, select files from the device, and then drag and drop them to the folder pane.
Note: All the files will be put into current folder. If you want to organize them separately, just create a new folder, open it and then drag and drop the files from device to the folder.

2. Transferring files from device to iTunes
To transfer files from the device to the iTunes library, select files from the device, and then click Copy to iTunes button on the top left corner.
Tips: During transfer, you can see the transferring progress on the Transferring progress bar. If you want to cancel the progress, please click the “ ” button appears at the right end of Transferring progress bar.


When you transfer a file to iTunes successfully, you will see an iTunes mark displays on the file.  
Note: When you transfer voice memos, they will be transferred to Music category in iTunes. The original information (Name,Time, Size, etc) will be transferred along with the file. Meanwhile, a new playlist titled Voice Memos will be created in iTunes. 

Make backup
Wondershare TransPod Lite supports backing up files from devices to Mac Finder or iTunes.

1. Backup to Finder
Click File on the top menu, select Backup Device>Backup to Folder. Select a location on Finder to save the backup and click Open button to start making backup.
Tips: The program will create appropriate folder in the location to save the backup file according to the category structure on the device.
Note: playlist on the device will not be backed up to Mac Finder.

2. Backup to iTunes
Click File on the top menu, select Backup Device>Backup to iTunes. The program will back up all music and video files to iTunes. However, Playlists, Ringtones, and Photos are not included.
Tips: The application will not back up those files which are already existed in iTunes to avoid duplicates.
Note: If you cancel the progress during backup, the program stops backing up the rest files.
