In order to play a preview of your video Filmii has to render your timeline. When this process lags it can be done to a combination of factors including the size of the files that need to be rendered, how many changes there are to render, and the performance capabilities of your computer.
Exported videos will not reflect the same lag you see in your preview.
For a smoother editing experience, use the render icon to render your timeline before playing it back.
