When installing and logging in to WhatsApp on android phones, WhatsApp is stuck at the step of Initialising all the time.
To solve the issue that WhatsApp is stuck at Initialising step during the login process, please let WhatsApp run in the background and switch to go to Settings > Apps > WhatsApp > Permissions > Contacts > Select [Don't allow]. After that, please switch back to WhatsApp, it will continue and you need to select NOT NOW when a tip about Contacts and media pops up. (See below photo)
