Follow these steps to preserve your render cache files between editing sessions:
-
Open Program Preferences
-
From the Filmora main interface, click "File" in the top menu bar
-
Select "Preferences" from the dropdown menu
-
-
Access Performance Settings
-
In the Preferences window, navigate to the "Media Cache" tab
-
Scroll to the "Preview Render" section
-
-
Modify Render Cache Settings
-
Locate the option: "Automatically delete render files when a project file is closed"
-
Remove the checkmark from the checkbox
-

Additional Information:
• Keeping render files can significantly improve performance when reopening projects
• This may increase storage usage - ensure you have adequate disk space
• Render files are stored in the cache folder and can be manually cleared if needed
Recommended Practice:
For optimal performance, consider periodically clearing old render files through:
File > Preferences > Performance > "Clean Cache Files"
