Track Matte crops the current media by calling the shape or brightness of another track. It requires accurately distinguishing the application scenarios of Alpha (transparency channel) and Luma (brightness channel).
[Operation] ① Track arrangement: Place text, graphics, black-and-white dynamic media, or a transparent PNG (as the matte source) on the video track above, and place the target video or image to be revealed on the track below; ② Enable entry: Select the target video below, go to "Video > Mask Compositing" in the right properties panel, and check "Track Matte" to enable it; ③ Configure compositing: Specify the track containing the matte source above in "Select Track". If the matte source is text or transparent channel media, select "Matte Alpha" as the compositing mode. If the matte source is a black-and-white dynamic transition or grayscale media, select "Matte Luma".
[Verification] In the player monitor, the target video will only be displayed within the text stroke outlines or the highlighted area of the matte source, with the background completely hollowed out to reveal the bottom image.
