How to remove the original audio from a video and replace it with another one?

Method 1: Full Audio Replacement

(For complete control over audio editing)

  1. Prepare Your Timeline

    • Drag the video clip onto the timeline

  2. Detach Original Audio

    • Right-click the video → Select "Separate Audio"

    • The audio will appear in the corresponding audio track

  3. Replace with New Audio

    • Delete the separated original audio track

    • Import your prepared audio file

    • Drag it into the audio track below your video

Method 2: Quick Audio Muting

(Simpler solution for basic edits)

  1. Mute Original Audio

    • Locate the speaker icon (🔊) at the left end of the audio track

    • Click to toggle mute (icon turns 🔇)

  2. Add New Audio

    • Import your replacement audio file

    • Place it in a separate audio track

Pro Tip: For videos with multiple audio layers, use "Lock Track" (padlock icon) to prevent accidental edits to other tracks.
