The processing workflows for raw container formats from different 360° cameras vary in platform support and mechanisms: .insv relies on a dedicated transcoding component currently available only on Windows, while .osv does not yet support in-app automatic stitching.
【Instructions】 ① Insta360 (.insv): Windows only. Upon the first import, click the pop-up prompt to download and install the dedicated transcoding component (~528 MB). Once installed, files will automatically transcode to MP4. Mac users must first export footage as a 360° MP4 via Insta360 Studio before importing. ② DJI (.osv): Direct in-app transcoding is not supported. You must first complete panoramic stitching in DJI Mimo or the official desktop tool, export it as an MP4 retaining 360° spatial metadata, and then drag it into the timeline for editing.
【Verification】 Once imported successfully, the clip thumbnail in the media library will display a dedicated 360° panorama badge. Double-click to open it in the player, where you can click and drag the left mouse button to rotate the view 360°.
