When modifying the material and reimporting to Filmora, what should be done if the material thumbnail or duration remains unchanged?

Symptoms

·When re-importing modified media into Wondershare Filmora, the thumbnail in the media library still displays the old version.

·After dragging the media to the timeline, the duration, visual content, or audio waveform does not reflect the modified version.

Resolution

1.Open Preferences

Launch Filmora. In the top menu bar, click [Preferences].

2.Access Cache Management

In the Preferences window, switch to the [Media Cache] tab.

3.Delete Cache Files

Click the [Clear] button, then click [Apply].

4.Restart Filmora

Close the Preferences window and completely exit Filmora. Restart Filmora and open your project.

5.Re-import or Refresh Media

·If the media in the library still does not update, manually re-import the modified media into the project.

If the media has already been used on the timeline, delete the old clip and drag the new version from the media library to the timeline.
