Why can't I preview a clip directly by clicking on it in the timeline?
When working on the timeline, clicking on a clip does not trigger a preview of that clip.
The preview window continues to show the frame at the cursor's current position instead of switching to the selected clip.
Resolution
1.Understand the default behavior
In Filmora, the preview window displays the frame at the cursor's current position on the timeline, rather than automatically showing the clip you have selected.
2.Preview clips by dragging the cursor
To preview a specific clip, simply drag the cursor (playhead) along the timeline. The preview window will update in real time to show the frame at the cursor's position.
3.Adjust workflow for better efficiency
If you need to preview a clip, drag the playhead to the desired location within that clip.
Use the timeline zoom feature to navigate more precisely when working with long or complex projects.
