The smart correction capability is deeply integrated into Filmora's built-in STT (Speech-to-Text) service and currently does not support reverse correction analysis for non-STT subtitle drafts imported manually from external sources.
[Operation] ① Only perform correction on audio/video human voices: Select the media containing human voices on the timeline and click the "Speech-to-Text (STT)" entry on the top toolbar; ② Enable the prerequisite switch: In the transcription parameter panel, you must manually turn on the "Automatic correction" switch (disabled by default) before clicking generate; ③ Alternative for external media: If you need to proofread old subtitles, it is recommended to keep the pure audio track and re-run an STT task within the software with the correction switch checked.
[Verification] After recognition is complete, open the subtitle editing panel. Suspected typos, proper nouns, and sentence segmentation anomalies in the list will have eye-catching red wavy underlines beneath them.
