If the PDF file cannot be edited, please check the following steps:
1. Check if your file is a scanned file. Because for a scanned file, you need to perform OCR on it first so you can edit it further.
2. Verify if your file is protected with a password or by adhering to the PDF/A standard, which requires entering the open/permission passwords or enabling editing.
3. Check if your file has been digitally signed. For a signed file, it can’t be edited.
4. Check if your file is an XFA form, PDFelement doesn’t support the function to edit the XFA form.
