Locate Your Projects
Search your computer for:
• .wfp files (Filmora 12/13/14/15)
• .wve files (Filmora 7/8)
Safely Open Older Projects
If using Filmora 12+:
Go to File → Open Project
Navigate to your .wfp/.wve file
Filmora will automatically convert it to the new format
Important Precautions
❌ Never edit projects directly across major versions
✅ Always:
Backup your original project file
Export as MP4 before updating
Use the same major version for ongoing edits

Export final versions of all active projects
Note where your project files are saved
