How to troubleshoot of preview black screen issue for Filmora?

Step 1:

Go to File--> Preference--> Performance-->Disable Playback using latest rendering engine option under the Render tab

Step 2:
Click OK and then restart Filmora to check.

Step 3:
If the issue persists, open dxdiag--> Switch to Display tab and then check if both DirectDraw and Direct3D are in the status of Enabled (refer to the screenshots). If they are not, it is recommended to upgrade the graphic card to have a try.

For Mac:

  1. Advise to check if the Mac model and MacOS version in "About this Mac" are compatible. You can visit https://eshop.macsales.com/guides/Mac_OS_X_Compatibility to verify and compare the compatibility.
  2. If it is indeed incompatible, it means that the black screen issue is caused by the user forcibly upgrading the MacOS system.
  3. If it is compatible but the black screen issue still exists, please click the Feedback option within Filmora to submit more details for further anlysis.
