Wondershare Recovery Expert Mac - Log File Collection Guide

Applicable Scenarios: When you encounter technical issues such as software failing to recover files, scan interruptions, or program crashes, and need to provide logs to the technical support team for troubleshooting, please follow these steps.

Preliminary Notes: Log files record critical information during software operation and do not contain your personal files; you can submit them with confidence.

Steps:

  1. Open the Log File Directory
Run Wondershare Recoverit. In the top menu bar, click "Window" → "Log Files." The system will automatically open the folder containing the log files.
  2. Copy All Files
In the opened folder, press Ctrl + A (Command + A for Mac users) to select all files, then right-click and select "Copy."
  3. Create a New Folder and Paste
On your desktop or in an easily accessible location, right-click and create a new folder named `Log Files_Date` (e.g., `Log Files_20260626`). Open this folder and right-click to select "Paste."
  4. Compress the folder: Right-click the folder and select "Compress" or "Send to" → "Compress (zipped) folder" to create a .zip archive.
  5. Send to technical support: Attach the archive to your technical support email.

Important Notes

  • Please ensure you copy all files within the folder; do not omit any.
  • Some systems may hide the `ProgramData` or `Library` folder by default. Please enable "Show hidden items" in your file manager before searching for them.
  • Log file types may include .log, .txt, etc. Please submit all files in a single package.
